Build a routine
- Give medication at consistent times that fit your day, for example 08:00 and 20:00.
- Record each dose straight after giving it, so everyone in the household knows it's done.
- Use more than one reminder (app plus phone alarm) if a missed dose would matter.
Handling and storage
- Follow the storage instructions on the label or from your vet.
- Ask your vet or vet nurse to demonstrate how to give tablets, liquids or injections if you're unsure.
- Ask whether medication should be given with or without food.
- Keep medication out of reach of children and other pets.
If something goes wrong
If a dose is missed, spat out or vomited, record what happened and contact your veterinarian. Don't give an extra or double dose unless your vet tells you to.
